In The Mix

The other week the team and I attended the 2012 In The Mix Awards in Sydney. It was such a great night because it is not often we have a chance to get the whole crew together in the one city. A great result for Team Potts Point with the Staffords taking out number one and Timmy coming in at number 5 in the country. Congrats!

More importantly though, what I wore.... I got my hands on this classic little black dress from the Shadows Collection by up and coming Sydney designer Inka Clothing. It was the perfect balance between cocktail and fun. Make sure you guys check out the rest of the collection at the Inka Clothing Shop Page as I love their whole collection. To give you some background on this chic new label their attitude towards design is to have a clean and minimal aesthetic with a street wear edge. Their mantra is to provide excellent quality, easy to wear clothing that can be either dressed up or down through styling and accessories. They also have a muted colour palette which anyone who knows me well suits me down to a T because I love to invest in pieces which I can wear season to season and won't outdate because of a print or trend colour. I teamed the outfit with some super high black heels from Zara and bling from David Jones and Sportsgirl.

Hi team, I am so sorry for the delay in posts, I just started a brand new job and it is taking me a little while to adjust to everything. So excited for the long weekend, I just checked the weather and it is looking good for some Sydney town beach action. I'm Sorry

I have always looked at my friends and been super jealous that they don't have to get up early and go to work but this week has been horrible! As someone who likes a routine (I can't help it, I am a Capricorn)  a whole week of doing nothing has really thrown my body clock out. First day of my new job is on Tuesday, I am actually really nervous! I am going to go shopping tomorrow and pick up some new work outfits. I think this new place is going to be a little more corporate than my last. Also I need to upload pictures from the In The Mix awards that my friends and I went to last week. Stay tuned guys.

I am really, really enjoying this not having to work thing. I understand why my friends like doing it so much now. You get up, decide what you are going to do for the day. You are never rushed, it is great! On the flip side though, I do enjoy having a purpose when I get up so I am excited to head back to work next week.

This is a collection of images from my mac which I have never had time to upload because I usually do all my blogging from the office. Managers past and present who may be reading this, it was most certainly always at lunch time, I promise. Some of the images are really old but I still love them all the same. My all time favourite picture thought is the one of the batman and the joker. We still miss you Heath.
